Hi All.
In my project I need to break the AllCountries data into Countries, States and Cities, but I am having difficulties breaking this data without knowing the proper feature codes, so I am having only a few returns for Countries (PCL* - 230 rows), States (ADM1 - 3700 rows) and Cities (ADM2 - 23000 rows).
Aside from countries (which have close numbers), state and cities have quite a low number of records. Can some one please give me some tips on how to correct separate the AllCountries Data into Country, State and Cities?
Thanks in Advance!
Best Regards.

Hi All.
I am running a translation project, and need to find translation for the state/provinces from the original system, in order to do so, I need to text compare the province/state name of geonames data and original data. The thing is, plenity of data from GeoNames has "Province of" or "Estate of", but the data I have doesn't.
Is there any way to pick up this info without the "Province of" or "Estate of" prefixes? or I'llhave to deal with that manualy?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I am build up an application which is based on your dumped data.
It's a translation project, and we'd like to provide the user as many alternate languages as available, so we decided to use your data.
The thing is, we couldn't find the alternate names for countries, states and Provinces in the dumped files.
Is it available in the dumped files or only through Web Services?
Thanks in advance!
Regards
Jhonathan
