Hi Jesse

For the ADM3 we have recently added ADM3 with boundary polygons (the former municipalities).
We have not yet run the update of the adm2 and adm3 codes as we are not sure whether it is correct to consider the former municipalities as ADM3 or whether we should change them to ADM3H and not update the adm3 codes of the features within.

Yes, I think PPLX (section of populated place) is a good featurecode.

neighbourhoods normally don't have admin functions and are classified with featurecode PPLX.

when they do have admin functions then there are often two entries one for the admin feature (ADM3 or lower) and an additional PPLX feature if the feeling of 'neighbourhood' is important together with the admin function.

the relation of a post to a neighbourhood can be additionally modeled in the hierachy table, this is different tot he admin relation in the adminX codes.

you are right the algorithm to increase the locklevel to avoid edit 'wars' is too eager.
This will be changed and we will also undo the increase in the past which has happened automatically.

A trick is to add with different name and then rename immediately afterwards.

Oh, I understand. You are right the default is 20 rows:
https://www.geonames.org/export/web-services.html#postalCodeLookupJSON

you can increase with the parameter maxRows

There was indeed an issue with the service saying 'no changed' even when it was changed.
