It might seem like a question tried before; but, I would like to get my images reverse-gecoded via the excellent HoudahGeo software down to the street level. At present the fields are restricted to the Country and City level.

Here, an example by John Coryat (http://www.usnaviguide.com/reverse.htm) which allows any point on US soil to be reversed and the address regurgitated, would be a good starting point.

It would be excellent if the UK recieved this kind of treatment but I am told the records are not free and that i what held John back. With enough support this service could be what AGM et al are to Media ripping applications (album information automatically correlated when CD is inserted from music DB).

Any plans to get street level info?

Hi Samuel

We have quite a few reverse geocoding services :
http://www.geonames.org/export/reverse-geocoding.html

For lack of data for other countries the street level reverse geocoding only works for the US.

Cheers

Marc

Would be nice if you did something with Houdah to at least get that feature in their product. Get the ball rolling.
