Hi all,
Looking at the cities500 data, a lot of the listed locations show as 0 population.

Single example: 1795178 (Shilong)

If I do the getJson api query for this location it also lists 0 population (Wikipedia suggest the population should be 70k+)

Why is this included the cities500 data if geonames thinks it has no population? The documentation says this data is: "all cities with a population > 500 or seats of adm div down to PPLA4"

I'm building rules in my app around locations based on their population so I'm trying to wrap my head around the geonames quirks. This appears to be quite a big one!

There are several cities with the name Shilong in China. The first one you refer to is a rather small village and listed as PPLA4.
The larger one is a different city.
