I'd like to know how to request the removal of a fictional place from the database.

Recently someone has inserted the non-existent place 'Headwood Bolevad' into the Geonames database for the UK and it has been picked up widely round the net.

How do I know it's fictional? Because apparently I now live there - part of a community of 2589 people whose town centre is actually the middle of a golf course. Nevertheless it is now the location displayed by the weather widget on the home page of my phone.

I would like to move back to the town of Watford, where I used to live, but don't know how.

Cheers,

Thanks, I have changed it into an entry for the golf course.

Thanks Marc but unless I'm very much mistaken the name is entirely fictional. The golf course in question belongs to the Grove Hotel - it is an inernational golfing venue, always known as 'The Grove' and is certainly not called 'headwood Bolevad'. headwood Bolevad just isn't an English place name of any kind as far as I can see.
