Hi, I have a question regarding lookup of lat lng's in a city.

I'm creating a search by city, and I have a lot of elements with lat lng's and adresses to search for. e.g. massage parlours.

I will use the geonames webservice to get all cities, and with the select of a city I want to get all my e.g. massage parlours in that given city.

I have the city from geonames. I have lat lng's in my own DB.
BUT... how can I bind those 2 together and get all e.g. massage parlours in e.g. London.
Even more complicated all e.g. massage parlours in quarters/districts e.g. Chelsea in London.

I hope it makes sense, and that someone has a good way of doing this.

Have a nice day folks.

/S

I am afraid GeoNames currently cannot do this as GeoNames is using centroid representation for features and your service requires polygon representation. With the current data GeoNames can only determine the closest city centre.

Best Regards

Marc
