With using the http://api.geonames.org/searchJSON endpoint, is there a way to exclude single feature codes?

I'm trying to remove any entries with feature codes of 'ADMD' but include all the other feature codes that are part of feature class A.

Is that possible?

This is currently not possible. You will need to list all codes you want to retrieve.
