Hi,

Should anybody need it: I have documented how to "load" GeoNames dumps and exports as external tables in Oracle:

Load Dumps as External Oracle Tables

The scripts have been tested with Oracle 10gR2 in a Linux environment, but they should work with all versions since 9i. For Windows, a few OS commands have to replaced.
