Hi...

I need help here:

I wanted to know if it is possible to download the postal code data base and use it in my application to get the state and country.

I mean to download it from http://download.geonames.org/export/dump/ and use some technique to get the geo location by passing the postal code instead of using geonames webservice as the one below:

http://ws.geonames.org/postalCodeLookupJSON?postalcode=3500

Pls help. I am working for one of the IT research company. We are looking to use the geoName database for our location loop up thro' zip code.
