Hi There,

I want to use the geonames database in a web application, but I was wondering what my options are according to geonames to satisfy the CC 3.0?

I know a link on the page showing the data back to geonames is customary, and normally I would have no issue with this at all, but in this case it may not be an option for me.

What else might be acceptable?

Hi Again, would appreciate a reply. The Creative Commons license states that you must follow accreditation 'as specified by the owner', but its not specified anywhere on the site? If it is, can someone please point me there or perhaps simply reply with what is required?

Sorry for the delay, I somehow didn't see this thread. We leave it to the user how they think giving credit is fair and appropriate.
