Hi
Im getting this error message for the postalCodeJSON service even though I enabled free webservices yesterday.

{"status":{"message":"invalid or disabled user.","value":10}}

My request was:
http://api.geonames.org/postalCodeLookupJSON?postalcode=10021&country=US&username=shopgooroo

Have I hit the rate limit by any chance? Is there any way to check that ?

Sorry. It should work now.

In an effort to fight a recent wave of vandalism we have temporarily disabled new users from modifying the database:
http://forum.geonames.org/gforum/posts/list/2237.page

Unfortunately this also affected new users of the web service. We have now changed the code to separate account state for updates and web service access.
