I entered couple of names (mostly mountains) here in Poland, and got that feeling that something is not working cause they don't show up in results from find_nearby as they did so far.

For example:
http://www.geonames.org/6285603/przelecz-srebrna.html
it has 50.57119 / 16.63828
there's a closest name with GeoNameId : 7602781 from what I see, but when I try
http://ws.geonames.org/findNearby?lat=50.57119&lng=16.6382847&maxRows=3&radius=10
I got only
Przełęcz Srebrna Przełęcz Srebrna 50.57119 16.63828 6285603 PL Poland T PASS 0.00042
Michałków Michałków 50.58333 16.65 3092065 PL Poland P PPL 1.58346
Nowa Wies Kłodzka Nowa Wies Kłodzka 50.56667 16.61667 3090696 PL Poland P PPL 1.60742

No new ones. It looks like some sort of data propagation problem to me.

The real-time update was interrupted for about 10 days. For the updates that have gone lost during this time a full db copy is required and it will take some days.

I seem to have the same problem

I entered

http://sws.geonames.org/7647536/

at 56.15716, 10.22741

But when do

http://api.geonames.org/findNearby?lat=56.1571&lng=10.2274&username=demo&featureClass=H&km=10

I only get back

http://www.geonames.org/2624651/

?

the api.geonames.org was newly setup some days ago. It is now uptodate.
