Hello,
I was looking over the file alternateNames for the ru section. Geographic locations outside of Russia have transliterations, not translations. As an example,
135847 174989 ru Kizilgyul

In Russian, this should be Кизилгюл , which is in Armenia by the way.

Why is this? Lack of translators?

It is the way we have received it from a datasource. The problem exists not only for Russian but also for other languages like Farsi etc. I guess we will have to write a script to check which entries are transliterations and which are not and remove the language code from those that are transliterations.

Best

Marc

OK. It might be a mistake to go in and remove the transliterations though. Without it a translator would only see:
135847 174989 ru
and not know what is supposed to be there.
