When I send a web-service query for the children of Alberta, Canada, I get one result, an ADM1 called Wood Buffalo and no populated places, even though the geonames website shows several populated places when looking up Alberta. The children query I send has only the geonameID for Alberta (5883102) and my username.

by this info geoname needs update the info from this official site:
