Hi Marc,
Attached is a spreadsheet with population info that is currently missing in Geonames for 46 cities with population over 10,000. It includes the cities' geonames ID.
The population info dates from March 2010 and was collected on wikipedia.
Best,
ChloƩ

Hi ChloƩ

Can you have again a look at the file? There is something wrong.
The first line for instance is a rather small village and can impossibly have 13000 inhabitants:

The population on wikipedia is not for the village it is for the entire municipality and already present in geonames:

Best

Hello Marc - You are correct, the spreadsheet contained pop numbers for municipalities. I have double-checked the numbers with CBS (Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek) and added all missing pop numbers to the respective municipalities. Once I find a reliable source for the city population numbers, you will probably see this document again.
Thanks,
Mireille
