Is it just me or, as I say in the title, is the data for Washington D.C in the allCountries.txt file corrupted?
My copy starts off ok with 4140963 Washington Washington but then has hundreds of numbers - 20001,20002 upto 20599 in the alternative names column.
Obviously I can dump the data, and in fact I only discovered this because of another problem whereby the cyrillic characters were breaking my own parser (and hence my own problem!) but I thought it worth mentioning.
Maybe I'm mis-understanding something ...
Thanks
Roger
PS. On another note, do you happen to have any data for the Aland Islands? It seems there is no AL.zip file although it is defined in the countryInfo.txt file.

The number for Washington are the zip codes. We will remove them from the alt names column.
The Aland Islands are actually part of Finland and they are currently listed as first adm of Finland.
Best

Brilliant, thanks Marc.

Ahhh, that makes sense. I guess I noticed this because in the countryInfo file, the islands are listed as a separate "country" and so I was looking for the matching data in the main file.
Cheers,
Roger
