Hi I call this XML
http://ws.geonames.org/children?geonameId=3471168
there are all childrens of Bahia (BR)
but I don't find Salvador, what is strange that if I call
http://ws.geonames.org/hierarchy?geonameId=3450554
that is the hierarchy of Salvador the parent is Bahia (347116

Why I don't find Salvador in the Bahia's childrens?

The service returns 200 entries per default. Bahia has over 400. If you want more than the default 200 you will have to set the maxRows parameter.
