is there a program that takes photos are already geotagged, and adds information from the geonames database?

I would like to use the similar to gpisync strictly to add the geonames and the HTML summary in the IPTC caption. gpisync will not work because there is no gpx file.

geosetter is also quite popular and has some reverse geocode functionality using geonames: http://www.geosetter.de/
