I'm thoroughly impessed with the quality of results from the 'fulltext' search at
http://www.geonames.org/search.html

However, i'm noticing considerable differences between these results, and the results from the webservice.
As the queries are so similar, I would expect to get similar results.
For instance

http://www.geonames.org/search.html?q=whistler,+bc&maxRows=3
provides whistler BC as the correct result.

http://ws.geonames.org/search?q=whistler,+bc&maxRows=3
returns 0 results.

Is the 'fulltext' search available through the webservice? Or is there something else I should be including in the query to get the results like search.html?

The abbreviation codes for Canadian provinces have been added to the database only recently and this update to the search index was not yet deployed on all servers.
