Caching in google earth?  XML

First of all, thanks for the great service, I use your Google Earth .kml and it works amazingly (Google has no place names or the wrong place names where I live) But every time I move out and back into an area, or zoom in and out a bit, it has to reload the names from your server. This is annoying, but minor for me, but I was wondering if there was a way to make Google Earth cache so that I'm not putting unnecessary strain on your server.

Edit: if there were some way to download everything for my country (guatemala) in one big kml and just have it locally that would be good too.

The files are downloadable in the download section as tab separated files. I guess there are some tools around to convert spreadsheets into kml.
