Hello,

I am searching for a database or webservice providing landmarks (anything that could interest tourists: monuments, museums, etc...). I have looked at Geonames Wikipedia search and it is great. However all results are not always relevant for what I want to do (because of Wikipedias nature).

That's why I wanted to ask here if you know alternative databases/webservices for landmarks? One example where it is really well done is on the hotel site booking.com when you search for a city and look at the landmarks in the left sidebar. Of course this is not something they share but maybe something similar is freely available out there?
