This message refers to files downloadable from download.geonames.org/export/dump/ .
As of 28-Aug-2025, there are three admin2 codes referenced by cities in the cities500.txt file which are not found in the admin2Codes.txt file. They are:
PH.14.56 (referenced by cities 1681759,1683818,1691168,1704897,1709644,1709955,1717884,1722857,1722868);
GE.68.7667577 (referenced by city 613742);
GE.68.7667578 (referenced by city 612012)
I haven't checked any of the other cities*.txt files.
