Hello,

I wanted to correct the population of Izmir, TR (https://www.geonames.org/311046/izmir.html) to the official figure of 4.493.242. However when I submit the edit, I get the error "The record you want to edit is locked for updates for userlevel1".

Interestingly, when I recently corrected the population of a german city, I didn't get this error. Why is that?

thanks a lot. I have updated the city population to 2,938,292
The 4Mio number is for the province not for the city.
