Hello,

I'm currently using the GeoNames API to retrieve coordinates (latitude and longitude) by passing the placename, postalcode, and country parameters — specifically for locations in Mexico.

I would like to know:

What is the general accuracy (in terms of average or expected precision) of the coordinates returned when both placename and postalcode are provided?

Is there an estimated margin of error (in meters or kilometers) between the returned coordinates and the actual location of the place?

Does the precision vary significantly depending on the country or region (e.g., rural vs urban areas in Mexico)?

Our use case involves calculating whether a customer's address is within a 20 km delivery range, so understanding the reliability of the geolocation results is important for us.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Kevin
