Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed that some place names and coordinates in my region (Vietnam) are either outdated or incorrect in the GeoNames database. I’d like to help improve the data accuracy, but I’m not entirely sure about the best way to contribute these corrections.

Here are a few questions I hope someone can help clarify:

-What is the proper process to suggest a correction or update for a place name?

-Should I use the “Edit” feature on the GeoNames website, or is there a preferred method for bulk updates?

-How long does it usually take for suggested edits to be reviewed and approved?

-Is it possible to submit a CSV or Excel file with multiple place name corrections?
