I am wondering whether there is any interest to add currency symbols to the countryinfo table. One list of reference is here:

http://www.xe.com/symbols.php

I have started adding them myself, but if this could be part of the core database, then this would be nice.

Also, in doing this I noticed some issues in the data in Geonames:
- would appear that the Azerbaijani Manat has changed to AZN: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azerbaijani_manat
- El Salvador should be SVC and Colone
- Gurnsey should be GGP
- Isle of Man should be IMP
- Jersey should be JEP
- Venezuela should be VEF

Here is the table as dumped, from MySQL, with the extra column and corrected currency codes. I make no guarantee to the freshness of the data in the other columns.

It should be noted that some currency symbols aren't present, so if anyone know what the missing ones are, please add them.

Sources for the symbols are xe.com and Wikipedia.

I think this is sufficient for the time being and as long as the list is not complete.
