Performance of ws.geonames.org web service

Hi --

It seems like the web service for doing wikipedia searches has slowed down. I'm not complaining -- hey it's free! -- but it seems like it was faster when I first started using it. Has anyone else noticed this?

The server seems to take around 20 seconds for a query. Is that normal?

At that speed, I have to be considering running the database locally.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Liam

There are the steps to install Wikipedia database in mysql 5.1.

I make this migration from this file :
http://www.geonames.org/export/wikipedia/wikipedia.zip

There is the zip file wikipedia_mysql.zip.
Just read the readme.txt

Any comments and suggestions will be appreciate.

Finally you don't need the field wikipediaUrl. Just put the language and the title in the url like this :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zamora%2C_Spain

Originally the title was "Zamora, Spain " and I thing the browser convert it to this : Zamora%2C_Spain. I same for the french accents in the title
