Address window in geolocations

Hi, Marc:
How are you?
I have another question:
I have seen that in Geolocations like Hotels, (featurecode=S), when I click in them, there is the window "info" with the same data of another geolocations, and in addition, there is a window "Address" with the geolocation address.
This informatin is available for us?

Thanks and regards,
Isa

Hi Isa

The tab with addresses is displayed for Hotels and Banks, where we have the information in our database. For the Hotels I will have to ask the booking systems whether it is ok for them, if we include the addresses in the daily dump. For the banks (only circa 1000 in Switzerland) it could be made available.
I think if we make it downloadable we should also make it editable.

Do you think addresses are an interesting topic? We could try to ask other banks, filling stations, supermarket chains and so on for their data.

Cheers

Hi Marc,

I do think addresses and other POIs such as filling stations, supermarkets, etc are interesting to have in the daily dump.

So, if you have the time as well as the required authorization to include them, this data is welcome !

Regards,
Sami Dalouche

Really, the geonames database is every time, more and more complete.

Thanks once again and regards,

Sami, Isa and everybody else

You could help us make it even better with asking data provider for address data like filling stations, banks, large supermarket chains for their geocoded data. Some of them might see that it is not much work for them to send us and excel spread sheet and it certainly has value to them to be found by a huge number of applications.

Cheers
