Removing everything that is not a city from the results

Hi

I'm new to Geonames, and using the dump files, for a while, in a local DB. And searching it with python.

I would like to remove from my results anything that is not a city like hotels, restaurants, etc. For Example, a search for "Cabo Frio" that is a beach city in Brazil returns a hotel and an airport, among the correct results.

Is there a way to filter this kind of things, and only get the real cities/non commercial entries in my results?

I don't think there is a way to do this, other then one by one, or by programming a script. I guess pythin is a good option.
