German - PPL rows

Hi

My name is Piotr. Warm welcome to everybody.
I have a question about german database. In most rows with feature code 'PPL' fields adm2-4 are empty.

Is it premium data or there is another way of getting that info for PPL rows.? I would like to get detailed administrative level relations not only (PPL->ADM1)

Thanks in advance for any help.

This information is not yet available for Germany. The German parliament has decided some weeks ago to make the information available and in some weeks or months I am sure we will get it.

Hallo Piotr,

if you are only interested in German speaking countries, you may find useful:
http://opengeodb.org/wiki/OpenGeoDB

I can not judge the quality of their data but they write they are using mostly official goverment data and they have 9 (yes nine!) levels of hierarchy in database schema.

May be the data in both databases can be compared and combined.
I will look at this.

Karaca
