Is it an API bug or is it me - Wrong intersections using findNearbyStreetsOSM

When I use "Find nearby streets", I have a problem with the information collected. Closed streets (dead ends) are shown as possible intersections. I would need to be able to use this feature but the information is confusing, it doesn't work for me.

Examples:

http://api.geonames.org/findNearbyStreetsOSM?lat=-34.482750&lng=-58.78422&username=YorUserName

http://api.geonames.org/findNearbyStreetsOSM?lat=-34.485148&lng=-58.791247&username=YorUserName

Take the Lat/Lon from links and compare on Google Maps.

Could someone help to solve this. I am very interested in using this API but the information is not reliable.

Thanks
