feature Codes P and the rest

Hi,

Among all the useful information in allCountries file I only need those places which are habitable i.e. states, cities, villages etc. Therefore, I only kept those lines which has the feature code "P" and removed all other lines categorised with H, A, S etc.

While compiling my application I searched the file for 'London, GB' and it was there but surprisingly there is no location for 'Munich' in Gemany' and 'Zurich' in Germany'. Can anyone help me regarding that.

Do Munich and Zurich have the feature code other than "P"?
Is category "P" is the only code which include (States, cities, towns and villages) or there are other feature codes that I need to keep.

It looks like you only searched for feature code 'PPL'. Country capitals have 'PPLC'.
To do this right you need feature class 'P' for all places and feature class 'A' for states and countries (and even feature code 'CONT' for the continents.
