Number of featureCode entries

Hi,

I am happy to use GeoNames Web Services out of an Excel app. Unfortunately my knowledge of big data bases is about... zero.

Is there an easy way to know how many entries exist in a certain featureCode ?

>> A code search for a given LatLon on the globe does not make sense if the featureCode has only 50 entries worldwide...

Thank you
