Geonames cleaning / problems with importing

Hi. I'm new with geonames, today I was importing geonames database 2015-04-26 for the first time. My notes:

allCountries.zip
- cc2 column limit 60 (as written in table definition on web is too small). Not sure how long is the biggest column in that file now, with 120 characters it is ok for me.

countryInfo.txt
- there are two countries, that do not exists now - "Serbia and Montenegro",
"Netherlands Antilles". Not sure if your politics is to keep the old countries in database, if not maybe it would be better to remove them. (I write this to you only to be aware of this fact)

iso-languagecodes.txt - OK

alternateNames.zip - OK

allCountries.zip (postal codes)
- I was unable to import that dump, there are some mysterious "\" backslash characters, which do problems with my postgres 9.1 import script. When I grep them with grep '\\' and manually remove those "\", import was passing.

Thanks for the great service!
