Luxembourg

Luxembourg decided last year to remove all admin areas except for the Commune/Gemeinde.

Geonames is currently showing:
ADM1: 3 entries
ADM2: 12 entries
ADM3: 123 entries

The new structure should be:
ADM1: 105 entries

Various sources apply to this change; the most useful are the announcement of the change in Luxemburger Wort

http://www.wort.lu/fr/politique/finis-les-intermediaires-entre-etat-et-communes-le-ministre-de-l-interieur-annonce-la-fin-des-districts-53ca3c2fb9b39887080477bf

and the list of all changes to the communes

http://www.statistiques.public.lu/stat/TableViewer/document.aspx?ReportId=9506&IF_Language=eng&MainTheme=1&FldrName=1

Your entries for the communes seem to date from before 1978 :(

Although I could change these myself, I (1) probably do not have permission and (2) am quite capable of destroying my own database - I would hate to do it to yours!

Regards,
