Problem with geoname Morocco : lines not valid because of arabs caracters?

Hi,
I don't really know if this a bug in the MA.txt geoname file, or if I didn't undertand how it works, but this is my problem.

So, in the MA.txt file, some lines are as follows:
For example (1 line per column)

6545826
Sidi Kaouki
Sidi Kaouki
Sidi Kaouki,Sidi Kaouki (CR),Sidi Kaouki (Commune Rurale),sydy ahm,9.736-
31.392985
"some arabs caracters"
56503542703
A
ADM3
MA
47
211
0721105372
4335
94
Africa/Casablanca
2007-07-14

So, .... the longitude field is in the alternatenames field, at the end.
I think this is because of the "arabs caracters", that are writed from the right to the left, and so are perturbing all the file.
In this way, I don't know how to get all informations correctly.

Do you have an idea on how to delete these arabs caracters from the file? or how to get correctly the longitude and latitude field?

Sorry for my poor english,

Thank you very much,

Stéphanie

The file is encoded as utf8 and the separators are tabs. If your import program is confused then probably because it is not looking for the tabs but for some other character.

Best
