Wikipedia Images

Hi,

First, thanks for a great data source!
Currently, some wikipedia data entries have a thumbnail URL field which points to the geonames.org domain, for example:
http://www.geonames.org/img/wikipedia/119000/thumb-118706-100.jpg

I would like to use these images on my application, but store them locally to enable offline operation, rather than link to geonames.org.

I wonder if it's possible (and legal) to get a zip file with these thumbnails.

Thanks,
 Abe

Hi Abe

I am afraid there is no zip file with the images and it is not planned to create one.

Best
