We have found a city that does not include the tag timezone in requests like this one: http://ws.geonames.org/search?style=FULL&lang=en&fclass=P&name_equals=Pefki&country=GR Note that if I use the city coordinates in the specific timezone webservice, the time zone is correctly displayed: http://ws.geonames.org/timezone?lat=36.07574&lng=28.05153 This is another example that fails in another way (now with an empty timezone tag): http://ws.geonames.org/search?style=FULL&lang=en&fclass=P&name_equals=Beaupre&country=CA

I got the same problem, when looking for Shoal Bay (Australia). "Monte Alegre" was a duplication in the middle of the ocean. I have deleted it. "Aoraki - Mount Cook Airport" had a timezone in the database, but for some reasons it was not included in the search index and not returned by the web service. I have recreated the search index from scratch. Marc

As far as I can see all entries you report without timezone are islands. The main focus of the timezone reverse geocoding are populated places. Islands can theoretically include more than one timezone so it could be tricky to assign them a single timezone value. If you want to contribute this then your help is welcome. Marc
