Phone area codes?

I looked around and couldn't see anything that listed phone area codes. The main reason I need them is because I have a small program that displays the country name for a given phone number. It works well enough until I run into the +1 numbers, since they can represent either USA or Canada, so I would have to defer this to an area code to work this out.

Is there a table already existing that would give me this information? If there isn't what format would you suggest? I was thinking:

country dialing prefix, area code, iso country code
