Hello Marc,

Just a few questions about the rdf dump: when was it last generated? How often do you generate it?

Would it be possible to generate a new one?

By the way, it may be useful to mention the generation date on the ontology page.

Hi Marc,

I'm having difficulty with the 5/4/2011 version of the rdf dump, and I'm hoping to get some basic info from you to help me figure out if the problem is on my end.

Can you please confirm that the file size of "all-geonames-rdf.zip" is 419,827 KB?

The resulting uncompressed file is corrupted/incomplete on my system. I've tried different tools on Windows (e.g. 7-zip), but that doesn't seem to help. If I've downloaded the correct file with the correct file size, and you know that this file works on your end, then I'll know that the problem is with me.

some zip tools on windows stop after extracting 2GB. You will have to use one that is able to unzip bigger files.

At the moment we don't have enough computing capacity. We have to wait till another data processing job has finished. This will take at least some days.

You are lucky. The other process crashed and we could generate the rdf files instead.
