Hi all,
for a tourustic website we are looking for a location database with different languages, location hirarchies and geo codes.
But we would need
touristic areas
and not only adimistrative regions (e.g. Paffenwinkel, Chiemgau or Eifel in Germany).
In geonames I found those areas, but it seems
impossible to connect cities
(populated places) to those areas.
Or do I interpret the downloadable data wrong??
Thanks for your help,
Stephan

I am afraid this information is not available.

Is there any other source (maybe commercial) for this kind of location data known?
