Hello,
I'm experiencing a strange problem when inserting this new data:

http://www.geonames.org/6697945/forte-di-exilles.html

The Fort is in Italy, in Exilles and I just clicked beside the other mark, but something strange happens, and the new point is marked as being in France...

Could someone check what the problem could be?

Thanks

Stefano

Hi Stefano

We are using freely available country border polyons to automatically determine the country and administrative division of new places. These polygons are simplified and in border region they sometimes return the wrong result.
I have manually fixed it. (click on 'edit' then on the country name)

Best

Please feel free to correct errors. The automatic country detection is just a default value that you can easily change.
