I might just haven't found it, but I'd like a webservice that parses a text (say, an article) and extracts location data. That's what GeoRSS does, except that it requires the URL of a RSS feed to get the text from.

What if I just have a local text and want to submit it to GeoNames NLP parser?

This feature is not yet available. The natual language geocoder requires rss input.

Thank you marc. I hope it will be available soon, as it would be a good alternative to Metacafe's GeoTagger.
