I am the Director of Technology for Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate. We have some 1,500 affiliates globally for whom we market luxury homes.

As we're growing internationally, we are looking to minimize potential competition between affiliates within the network. We are looking to do this through mapping a maximum of one affiliate per postal code area.

We are very impressed with the quality of the geonames database, and were hoping to use the geonames postal code database as a starting point as I assume each postal code contains a geonameid reference to its parent geographic subdivision.
