Erik Bolstad has translated the over 650 geonames feature codes and feature classes into the two Norwegian languages Nynorsk (nn) and Bokmål (nb)

It is now possible to get the search web service response entirely in Bokmål. Example :
http://ws.geonames.org/search?q=oslo&maxRows=10&lang=nb&style=LONG

The translated feature codes are here : http://www.geonames.org/docs/norwegian-featurecodes.xls
