First off, as a geographer and GIS Analyst, hats off to the creators and editors of the GeoNames website. Thank you.

Secondly, in researching my geneology I queried GeoNames for my last name in Germany. (Denninger, Germany) To my surprise, GeoNames listed a place called "Denninger"! However, the attributes are Class = S and Code = FRM (farm); S = “Spot” and FRM = “a tract of land with associated buildings devoted to agriculture.”

Is this someone's private ranch/farm and their name is "Denninger"? Or is this an historical placename for this "area"? Or other?

Lat/Long: 48° 22' 41" N 008° 05' 54" E

Also, was looking for the source. It appears to be NGA, but not certain. Copy/Paste from the "History" tab of this feature:

2938217 Denninger

Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.
