Hi,

Just wondering how the center point for the adsmin division is generated. I only ask because South Glamorgan is said to be in the sea.

Hi Phil

Where the center of an administrative division lies depends on the source of the data. For larger administrative divisions it is often the geometrical center or the 'felt' center. Sometimes it is the Church of the main places, sometimes the largest square and some times the seat of the administration.
The lat/lng for South Glamorgan look rounded, so this rounding might explain why it comes to lie in the sea.

Marc
