During French Revolution, years 1793-1794, some french city names were changed (and most of them restored a few months later !).

ex: "St Gildas de Rhuys" was called "Abélard"

Many genealogists would appreciate this addition to geonames.

I suggest to create a new alternate name code "fr-revol" or "fr-1793" for "French Revolution" (similar to "post" for postcode)

After that, I will try to collect most of those names to create a batch.

There is no iso language code for this French variant and we are proposing to use the code 'fr-1793' for this variant. This is not the first time we are adding new codes to the system. We have already added artificial codes for alternate names like 'post' for postal codes and 'icao' and 'iata' for airport codes.
This change requires an increase of the database column from 4 characters to 7 characters. We would like to change the column definition with the dump of Friday 27 of July (~1 h GMT).
