Hi,

I need the Information on the GeoCoding Webservice.

I am using the following URL for finding the Latitude and Longitude Information.

http://ws.geonames.org/postalCodeSearch?placename=Chennai.

My questions are,

1. For How many requests allowded per IP/ per Day for the web service request?

2. Is there any License Aggrement for Accessing the webservice?

Hi Gokul

1. There are no limits on daily web request usage for now, but we might be forced to start using limits if our severs are no longer able to deal with increasing demand.

2. The data and services are licensed under creative commons attribution. This means it would be nice to give credit to GeoNames (a link or so) if you are using either data dump or web service or both.
