Moskva (the city of Moscow) - is a largest Russian city; the capital of Russian Federation; the subject of Federation #77 (so called City of Federal Level) on the same administrative level as Oblast', Krai, Autonomous Okrug, Republic; center of Central Federative Okrug; center, but not a capital, and also not included into Maoskovskaya oblast.

Moskovskaya Oblast' - is a subject of Federation #50, first-order administrative division of Russian Federation; does not include the city of Moscow.
